V-RETRO™ Reflective Sheeting
V-RETRO™ Reflective Material High Intensity Reflective Sheeting RS-HI9300 Series is constructed with an encapsulated lens optical system forhigh intensity of retro reflectivity. It is displaying the pattern of hexagonal seal. Sheeting is a weatherproof, self-adhesive films with excellent corrosion and solvent resistance. The smooth surface allows a very good printability. Clear Acrylic face film allows graphics by plotter cutting.

Retro Reflective Color
V-RETROTM Reflective Material High Intensity Reflective Sheeting RS-HI9300 has a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is recommended for application at temperatures of 65° F (18° C) or higher.
V-RETRO™ Reflective Material High Intensity Reflective Sheeting RS-HI9300 may be processed into traffic signs by any of the imaging methods described below. Customers should test each application to meet their own criterions before mass production.
Sign legends for retroreflective signs are produced by the following methods:
Cut-out Letters and Symbols: directly applied to the sign face.
Demountable Copy: This legend is made of reflective sheeting applied to thin aluminum, which is then cut out into the letter and legend shapes and then riveted to the sign face. This permits the sign legend to be changed or removed without having to replace the entire sign panel.
Positive Silk-screen: Used for signs with legends darker than the background, such as most regulatory and warning signs. The legend is applied directly onto the colored sign face with opaque ink.
Negative Silk-Screen: Used for signs with legends lighter than the background, such as STOP signs or Interstate shields. The process begins with a white sign face, then a translucent ink is applied onto the sign face, with the exception of the legend (or regions of other colors. This produces a white legend on a colored background.
Overlay Film: Also used for signs with legends lighter than the background. The process begins with a white sign face, then the overlay film in the appropriate color is cut to remove the sections where the white is to show through. This overlay film is then applied onto the sign face.
Colored inks used in sign silk-screening are translucent to allow reflectivity through the ink, whereas black ink used for signs is opaque.
V-RETRO™ Reflective Material High Intensity Reflective Sheeting RS-HI9300 may be cut into letters and shapes of at least 3 inches in height and stroke widths of at least 1/2 inch. Smaller sizes are not recommended. Sealing cut edges of V-RETRO™ Reflective Material High Intensity Reflective Sheeting RS-HI9300 is NOT required.
Programmable knife cut (electronic cutting)
1. Fla bed plotters can either die cut or kiss cut and offer the most consistent reliable performance.
2. Friction Fed plotter. Kiss cut only. Success has been achieved using plotters that have 600 grams of down force and a 60° cutting blade. Additional drive wheels may need to be added to improve tracking. An alternative procedure is to cut sheeting from the liner side. Blade force and knife depth must be set to score but not cut through the top film. Break apart individual copy or apply premask to retain spacing.
